- Whether it's focusing on volume and engagement or behaviour tracking
- And the data you would like to capture. You will be advised on why certain fields may not be advisable.
Once you've made your decision, please contact our support desk to facilitate the setup. We advise against attempting this on your own, as there are specific guidelines that must be adhered to in configuring the fields. This ensures the accurate integration of data into Looker Studio and the Vepple API.
How long does the support team need to set up volume and engagement/behaviour tracking?
We need 5 working days to set up lead capture. This is so that;
- We can ensure that your privacy policy is set up and approved by your legal team before proceeding with data capture as this is necessary to comply with GDPR. Revolution Viewing Limited will always provide a privacy policy template that our legal team has drafted and you are open to access this in your CMS>Pages>Privacy Policy. You are open to editing it or replacing it with a policy set up by your institution.
- We can properly set up reporting dashboards and/or API credentials for data export.
- If you have opted for Behaviour Tracking, we need to set up the “Sign in with Google/Facebook” buttons which rely on the approval of our configuration from the respective 3rd-parties.
How can you access the data captured?
We will set up a Looker Studio report to provide insights into the data captured from your Vepple platform. You'll have access to download the leads, users who sign in and those who attend your events.
Please make sure that the email accounts you would like to access the Looker Studio reports are linked to a Google account.
To download/ export your data, right-click on any table of data and select export.
Vepple API to access data
Vepple continuously gathers and stores information on its users’ interactions. If optimising for volume and engagement this will be a steady feed of new leads coming into the platform, conversely, for universities optimising for behaviour tracking, they’ll be able to see everything from event attendance to call-to-action clicks. However, all of that information lives in Vepple. We know that it makes the most sense if this information doesn’t live in a separate system but instead as part of your wider information ecosystem. That’s where the API comes in, allowing for an automated sync of information between Vepple and your CRM/data exchange.
Review this article on how to use the Vepple API.
