Behaviour Tracking allows a user to create an account within Vepple, they will be required to sign in with either an email and password or the single sign on options of Google and Facebook.
Optimising for Volume and Engagement requires a user to provide some information before entering your experience however this information will not be tied to an account and acts similar to a data capture form.
Behaviour Tracking
Once activated, users will encounter a user-friendly Authentication Modal when attempting to access restricted content. This modal provides convenient Sign In and Sign Up options.
If the user chooses to Sign Up, a Profile Form will subsequently appear.
The Authentication Modal can also be activated by selecting ‘Sign in or create an account’ on the homepage, when ‘Sign In’ is selected in Profile Settings (learn about this here). Or by selecting ‘Sign In’ from the header.
Optimising for Volume and Engagement
Opting for volume and engagement transforms the homepage experience, greeting users with a dedicated form instead of the standard Sign In option. Consequently, users don’t have to log into the experience, but you can still get information from them such as an email, first and last name or any custom information you need. This information isn’t tied to any user data about their behaviour, but the small barrier to entry makes it optimised for getting the most leads possible.
However if the user goes on to sign in then any behavioural data from that session will be added to that users account information.
Because users don’t make an account when using lead capture optimising volume and engagement, their information is only used once per session meaning the form will be shown each time they visit your experience. If you intend on sending out marketing links to your Vepple to previous visitors we have created a query parameter to hide lead capture forms. Simply add the following to the end of your link ?hide_leads=true.
For example: https://demo.vepple.co.uk becomes https://demo.vepple.co.uk?hide_leads=true
