Assigning sessions so they appear in your experience

Overview

Assignment controls where a session can appear across your experience.

Sessions can be surfaced in different ways depending on how your experience is built:

• In an Event Section using the Events layout, which includes a built-in session grid, with optional calendar and list views
• Through the page builder or Guided Tour Content Drawer, using a Relevant Sessions block

Steps

• Open your session in the CMS
• In Assignment, tick the sections where you want it to be available
• In your frontend, surface assigned sessions using one of the methods above (Event Section layout, page builder blocks, or Guided Tour content drawer)

If you add a session to Assignment but do not surface it in the frontend, students will not see it.

Filters and visibility

Sessions must also match the Filters applied in your Relevant Sessions blocks or Event Section. If a session is assigned but does not match the selected filters (for example subject or audience), it will not be shown to students.

Important

If a session is surfaced via an Event Section, the Event Section dates still apply. If the Event Section has ended, sessions will no longer appear there unless the end date is extended.
