Event Platform Settings let you customise how sessions appear and behave across your Vepple experience. These settings help create a consistent and branded experience for users interacting with session content. We can sort sessions using three different methods:
- Date - Sorts sessions by their start date/time, with earliest sessions first. Sessions with the same start time are sorted alphabetically by title.
- A - Z - Sorts all sessions alphabetically by title, regardless of their timing or type (On Demand or Scheduled).
- Relevance - Sorts sessions by their priority value, with highest priority sessions first. Sessions with the same priority are sorted alphabetically by title.
Enable Priority Toggle
You have to toggle the Enabling the Priority option to show/hide the "Relevance" sort option for users.
Default Order Dropdown
- This controls the which out of the 3 sorting methods is used when users first visit the sessions page
Starting Soon Threshold
- Similar to the Q&A Threshold, this sets how many minutes before a session's start time it should be marked as ‘starting soon’. This affects when the countdown begins, when the ‘Starting Soon’ label appears on the session card, and when the ‘Join Session’ button becomes active.
Copy
- Title: Input the title exactly as you want it to appear on the frontend, including correct spelling and capitalisation. This title will be shown in the site sidebar or footer and at the top of the session listing page.
- No sessions copy: Enter the message to display when no sessions match the selected filters. This will appear on the session listing page if no results are found.
- No favourited sessions: Enter the message that will be shown when a user has not favourited any sessions. This will display in the ‘Favourites’ view within the Profile Page.
- Back to sessions list: This is the text for the link or button that returns users to the main session listing page.
- Launch session: This is the button text shown on the session page when the session is available to join.
- Q&A and media placeholder text: This is the message shown in place of the Q&A when the session is not yet live and the Q&A Threshold is used in your CMS for the session.
- Search Sessions: This is the placeholder text shown in the session search bar. It prompts users to begin typing to search the available sessions.

Background Media
The Background Settings section allows you to customise what appears behind your event section pages, as well as their individual session pages, giving you complete control over the visual foundation of your virtual events experience. You can choose from three background types:
- a solid colour selected
- a custom image that showcases your event branding or
- an engaging video that creates dynamic visual interest for attendees
Best Practices & Use Cases
- Use lower priority numbers (e.g., 10, 20) for featured or high-importance sessions so they appear first in relevance sorting.
Set the Starting Soon Threshold to 10 or 15 minutes before a session to give users a clear heads-up and ensure timely joins. - Customise all fallback and placeholder copy so it matches your tone of voice and provides a helpful user experience.
