Overview
Personalising content is key to getting the most from Vepple.
For each post/group that you build, you need to decide where the content should be housed and to whom it should show; you do this using Assignments and Filters.
Assignments & filtering
Setting where content should be shown
You stipulate WHERE content should be housed through the use of the Assignments box in the editor.
For example, if you wanted a particular item of content to appear within the Content Grid of the Accommodation section, you'd tick Accommodation in the list above (as well as setting the content to be featured if it's a single post). Assignments are used to determine what content should show in the Content Grid block and Relevant Events Block.
Setting to whom content should be shown
You set TO WHOM the content should be visible using the filter box(es) in the editor. In the above section, the content was set to show in the Accommodation section, but we can now define to which audiences it should be made visible.
The filter box(es) that you see in your Vepple may differ to those shown here but the principle remains the same.
If we wanted the content to only show to Postgraduate students, we'd only tick that option.
Conversely, it might be that you only want the content to show to UG students or those that skip personalisation or select "I'm not sure".
As the name suggests, selecting "Select All" will make the post visible to all audiences.
