Creating Ambassadors
Add Ambassadors into the system so that you can re-use them across Posts and Guided Tours without having to duplicate effort.
- On your CMS go to Site Options > Ambassador profiles and select 'Add new'
- In the first field, add the name of the Ambassador.
- Add the image of the Ambassador by selecting 'add image' - you can then upload the image or choose the image from your media library
- Position: Populate this field with the position details of the given Ambassador.
- Select publish! You have now created the Ambassador. See the steps below for how to then add this Ambassador to a Post or Guided Tour.
Adding Ambassador-led content through the bubble?
Ambassador-led content can be added to both Posts and Guided Tours. If both are populated, the Guided Tour content will take precedence.
Adding Ambassador content to Guided Tours
- In the CMS, open the Guided Tour that you want to add the Ambassador bubble(s) to.
- In the Introduction panel, make sure that you’ve either selected an Ambassador or uploaded a thumbnail image, otherwise your Ambassador will not show.
- Under the Stops section, you should see each of the stops that take place on your tour. Find the stop to which you want to add Ambassador content.
- Use the Inline video/audio field to upload the video/audio of the Ambassador describing this space. For recommendations on video export configurations, see here.
- The Transcription field can be used to enter a transcript to ensure WCAG compliance
- That’s it! You should now see your Ambassador content on the frontend.
Adding Ambassador content to Posts
- In the CMS, go to the given Post you want to add the Ambassador bubble to.
- On the Post, scroll to the section for “Ambassador Video”
- For the field “Use an image or an Ambassador”, select whether you want to use:
- Image - upload the image that you want to use in the “Thumbnail” field ; or
- Ambassador - select a pre-existing Ambassador that you added earlier in the Ambassador field.Use the Inline video/audio field to upload the video/audio of the Ambassador describing this space.
- The Transcription field can be used to enter a transcript to ensure WCAG compliance.
Note - Ambassador bubbles are only available on the 360 Panorama content type.
