How do I add tracking pixels?

Background

This article does not relate to analytics tracking - we automatically add analytics tracking for you if a user consents to analytics cookies. You can push data to your own analytics accounts by entering the UA/GA4 ids as outline here.

However, if you're looking to add 3rd party tracking pixels for the purpose of retargeting etc, they'll need to be brought in through a dedicated GTM container managed by you.

Instructions

• Create a Google Tag Manager container
• Add relevant tracking pixels etc - note you should only add services that are considered to be "targeting services" as when added to Vepple, this container will only load when the user consents to "Targeting Cookies"
• Take the GTM container ID (e.g. GTM-XXXXXX) and paste it into the Admin Portal in "Site Options > Analytics > GTM Targeting Container ID"
• The GTM container (and with it, any successfully added tags) will automatically be loaded into the Vepple experience once a user consents to the "Targeting Cookies" class of cookies.
