Guided Tours provide a structured way to present content in a visual storytelling format, helping prospective students explore key aspects of your university in an engaging and digestible way. By curating the "best bits" of your campus, facilities, and student life, Guided Tours make it easier for students, especially those in the early stages of their decision-making process to connect with your institution.
Why Do They Matter?
Research shows that prospective students, particularly those who require more guidance, benefit from immersive and emotive content. Guided Tours help recreate the atmosphere of an on-campus visit, making digital engagement more personal and impactful. Universities using Guided Tours on Vepple have seen a +44% increase in engagement time per session and a +111% increase in page views.
Guided Tours further allow prospective students to visualise their experience, making them more likely to see themselves at your university therefore creating a stronger emotional connection. Students can access the information that matters most to them at their own pace through the personalised guided tours.
This in many ways:
- Boosts student confidence in choosing your institution by providing an immersive, interactive experience.
- Replicates the feel of an in-person visit for students who can’t travel to campus.
- Helps institutions highlight their unique selling points in a way that resonates with their audience.
How it works
You are free to create as many Guided Tours as you like. To set one up, start by selecting a post you've created. Then, choose relevant posts to include in the tour, organizing them in a logical sequence. For each post, craft a descriptive explanation to guide visitors through what they are viewing. An introductory screen will be automatically created to provide visitors with a preview of the journey they are about to embark on during the tour.
Once visitors enter the first space, they'll be able to explore, read the description, then progress through their curated tour.
