Have you noticed a number appended to the end of your URL, such as your-site.ac.uk/chemistry-2, when you intended it to be just /chemistry? This occurs because URL slugs must be unique.
If you try to create a Subject, Section Page, or Post with a slug that already exists in the system, the platform automatically adds a numeric suffix (like -2, -3, etc.) to prevent a conflict.
To fix this, you must find the "Original" item holding the preferred name, rename it to free up the slug, and then update your new content.

- that updating the slug will break any deep links you may have set up.
