My group is showing on the Content Grid/Map without an image. Where do I set this?
You need to set the Group’s Featured Image. Refer to this article on how to add a featured image to your group.
When viewing the Group on the frontend, some of the Posts are missing. What am I doing wrong?
Check the “Respect Post Filtering” toggle. If it’s set to yes, you’ll also need to ensure that each Post is tagged with the appropriate filters. For more information on filtering, see here.
Why Isn't My Group Showing on the content grid?
Even if you've assigned your group to the right sections, it may not appear as expected. This is because personalisation is applied at every level of the content hierarchy, meaning both group-level filters and post-level filters must align for the posts within that group or the group itself to show.
Think of a group as a building that contains multiple rooms (individual posts). If some rooms (posts) are only visible to specific audiences like a moot court for law students and a science lab for chemistry students then the building (group) that is relevant to both audiences even though only some of the rooms within it should be shown. The building will only appear when at least one of its rooms is visible to the selected audience. If none of the posts match the selected filters, the group won’t appear.
To ensure visibility:
- Check your post’s filters – Make sure at least one post within the group matches the audience filters.
- Check your post’s assignments – Make sure at least one post within the group is assigned to the same section / academic section as your group.
- Verify your group filters – Ensure the group has filters that match with your current selection.
- Verify your group assignments - Ensure your group has been assigned to the page you are looking at and there is a content grid on the page to display it.
By aligning both post and group filters correctly, your group will display as intended.
