Adding a location
For Vepple Content, when in the editor, underneath the “Location Settings” heading, the Location toggle allows you to choose whether you want this content to have a location. Switch it to 'Yes' to include the content as a map marker.
Next, to specify a particular location, input an address in the 'Map Location' field, and select the correct list item.
If you need to manually correct the location, you can click and drag the marker to a new location.
Once the location toggle is enabled, if you wish the post to be visible on the map and its sidebar, you can enable the "Feature post on map list" toggle to "Yes". Note, that this does not change if the post is seen as a location on the Guided Tour mini-map.
Adding a Tooltip Body
To include a description for your map marker, simply input your desired text into the "Tooltip body text" field.
Assigning Categories
To include a post in a specific category, which serves as a filter on the map and can be activated through the buttons located within the filter categories accordion, just select the checkbox associated with the category you'd like the post to be part of. For example, a library could have “Study spaces” ticked and is therefore shown on the map and its sidebar when the “Study spaces” button is clicked.
Icon Overriding
To personalise the marker's icon or text colour, simply modify the content within the “Marker icon” field.
Tag Management
Finally, tag management allows you to assign other search terms to your Vepple Content, for example, a library location can be assigned tags like:
This means that when a student searches for food, they can also see cafes, restaurants, coffee, bars, as long as they have been tagged.
