Pushing content from staging to live

How do I migrate content from our staging environment to live?

Once you're satisfied with the changes in your staging environment, simply click "Push Changes to Live" on your CMS dashboard, and your updates will go live within 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of your experience.

To ensure smooth collaboration, once one team member initiates the push, the button will become inactive until the process is complete, preventing any overlaps or conflicts. 

Note: The feature is restricted to users with ‘admin’ privileges, ensuring that only authorised individuals can publish updates.

Can I migrate specific changes and not others?

No, once you push to live, the entire environment will be pushed to live.  If there are changes you are not yet comfortable with your students seeing, kindly set them to draft until you are ready.

How do I switch between staging and live environments when viewing the site?

• Desktop: Press CTRL + SHIFT + ALT(Option on Mac) + S or CTRL + SHIFT + ALT(Option on Mac) + T ( helpful if you have the Grammarly extension) to preview changes before they go live. You’ll know you’re viewing the staging environment because you’ll see the word “Staging” appear in the bottom right-hand corner.
• Mobile: Tap in the top left corner multiple times (5) to switch between staging and live environments.
• The frontend URL will be the same for both environments.

Once you are happy with the changes, push your changes to live or contact a user with admin privileges on your team to push the changes to live.
