How to set a featured footer item

The Featured Footer Item lets you highlight a specific Vepple Section in the mobile footer navigation. When selected via your Site Options, this section appears as a prominent footer button on mobile, alongside the standard menu items.

Navigation Steps

1. Log in to your Vepple CMS.
2. Open the Site Options area in the left-hand menu.
3. Go to the Default Tab and scroll down to the Featured Footer Item selector
4. Select the section you want to feature.
5. Scroll down to the Featured Footer Item field.
6. Choose your section from the dropdown list.
7. Use the Update button.
8. View your experience on a mobile device (or using a mobile preview) to see the featured item appear in the footer.

FAQs

• Where does the Featured Footer Item show?
  • It only appears in the mobile footer navigation. Desktop navigation is not affected.
• Can I leave the field blank?
  Yes. Leaving it empty means no additional footer item will be shown.
• Can I choose multiple items?
  • No. Only one Vepple Section can be featured in the mobile footer at a time.
• Does this change the order of my other footer buttons?
  • The system decides placement automatically. If Events is hidden, the featured item takes that slot. If Events are visible, the featured item replaces Personalise.
• I want to change my label
  • The featured item uses the section’s title. To update the label, edit the section title in the CMS.

• Still not updating
  • Clear your browser cache or preview in a private window to confirm the latest version.

Best Practice

• Select a section that supports a key user journey such as booking, applying, or clearing.
• Keep the section title short and clear so it displays well on small screens.
