To ensure fast page load times and improved performance, our embeds are designed to defer loading heavy assets by default. Rather than immediately loading the full tour experience which includes API calls, a 3D-rendered mapping tool, and high-resolution 360° imagery the embed initially displays a static preview. This preview is typically your post’s featured image, overlaid with a “Click to interact” prompt.
This approach improves page speed because:
- No external assets are loaded until user interaction (reducing initial bandwidth usage).
- Complex rendering logic is deferred (minimizing CPU strain on load).
- It reduces the impact on Core Web Vitals metrics like Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and Total Blocking Time (TBT), which affect SEO and user experience.
If you prefer to load the full tour immediately, skipping the splash screen and click-to-load behaviour, you can override this by adding the attribute loader="false" to your embed code.
Note that enabling this will load all the interactive content upfront, which may negatively affect page speed particularly on slower connections or older devices.
