When a client chooses to activate Authentication, the user will be presented with an Authentication Modal when trying to access gated content, offering Sign In and Sign Up options.
If the user chooses to Sign Up, a Profile Form will subsequently appear.
In terms of the data, they will still receive generalised information through their Performance Dashboard; however, individualised data will now be accessible in a separate Data Report.
Lock Specified Content
To enable Authentication in your Vepple CMS, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Site Options" section.
- Within the "Defaults" tab, you'll find a toggle labelled "Enable Authentication."
- Switch this toggle to "Yes."
Once Authentication is enabled, a new toggle labelled "Authentication Required?" will become available for all content options, including Posts, Groups, Sections/Academia, Guided Tours, and Events. You can find this toggle within the "Auth Check" group on the right-hand sidebar.
By default, this toggle will have a value of “No”, and when you enable it, meaning nothing will be locked behind the Sign In/Sign Up modal. However, events are the exception to this rule, when Authentication is enabled, their “Auth Check” field will be toggled on by default, meaning they’ll be gated by default.
Lock All Content
To gate all content, activate 'Global Authentication' by toggling the switch next to 'Enable Authentication'.
